Aysha Al Mudahka is CEO of Qatar Business Incubation Center, a leading business incubator in the MENA region. CEO since July 2014, Al Mudahka leads a team of professionals devoted to supporting local entrepreneurs, and whose mission is to develop the next QAR 100 million companies in Qatar. Through QBIC’s work with startups and scaleups, combined with coaching and mentoring, QBIC is closely aligned with the Qatar National Vision 2030 by encouraging a strong, diversified private sector.
Al Mudahka began her career working at the Qatar Financial Centre and the Qatar Finance and Business Academy. In 2007 Al Mudahka volunteered at INJAZ, a non-profit organisation dedicated to educating Qatari youth where she worked her way up to become INJAZ Qatar’s Executive Director in March 2011. Al Mudahka remains a board member at INJAZ Qatar.
In addition to Al Mudahka’s commitment to her professional career, she dedicates a significant amount of time pursuing her personal passions: the empowerment of women and entrepreneurial ventures. She is a member of the Global Shapers Community, which falls under the World Economic Forum, and is also a member of ‘Tomouh’, a network of top achievers in any academic or professional field in the GCC countries.
In November 2015, Al Mudahka was invited to take part in Qatar’s leading educational conference, the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE). The annual WISE Summit aims to provide a global platform for debate and action to build the future of education, and was attended by HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, and First Lady Michelle Obama.
Al Mudahka received the Special Recognition Award at the 2015 Arabian Business Qatar Awards, and the 2015 Enterprise Agility Achiever award for Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Development by Entrepreneur ME, on behalf of QBIC. Most recently, Al Mudahka was named the 80th Top 100 Most Powerful Arab Woman for her work in entrepreneurship, in a ranking by CEO Middle East Magazine, and the 32nd most influential Qatari by Arabian Business Qatar.
